The Essex County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame held its annual 'Football Scholar Athlete Awards Banquet' at Mayfair Farms in West Orange on March 11th. Every football playing school in Essex County was represented by their scholar athlete nominee. Joy Tewiah, a senior at IC, was chosen for his academic excellence and his outstanding performance on the football field. Joy has also excelled in the classroom during his four years at Immaculate, earning a 3.5 GPA and consistently making the honor roll. Joy has been accepted to Fairleigh Dickinson University and Seton Hall University. He plans to study Biology, with the hopes of becoming a physical therapist.
